Tampa Bay Hellenic Women’s Soccer

The Tampa Bay Hellenic semi-pro Women’s Soccer Team is a member of the W-League, the highest level of women’s soccer playing in the United States at this time.  The team will consist of area talent along with some of the best players from all over the U.S. and the world.  Many of our local clubs and high schools will be represented on the Hellenic.  There are 41 teams throughout the U.S. and Canada and we are excited to bring a team of this caliber playing in a league of this magnitude to this area.  Our home games will be played at Ed Radice Park in Hillsborough County, the home of Hillsborough County United Soccer Club, but we are a team for all the clubs and all the players in our entire area.  Our tryouts are open to everyone, and we plan to play and to win for the entire Tampa Bay vicinity and its exceptional soccer community.

GK Named W-League GK of the Year - Wednesday, November 19, 2008
Tampa Bay netminder Mallori Lofton-Malachi left quite an impression on the opposition this season, earning the Goalkeeper of the Year honor despite finishing six in the league in goals against average. She helped guide the expansion side to a third-place finish in the Atlantic with a personal record of 6-1-2 on the season and three shutouts. In her lone game against the top two in the division, Lofton-Mallachi posted a shutout against the vaunted Atlanta Silverbacks attack, including a penalty kick save. She allowed just five goals in her nine appearances.
